Male Fertility Test

It seems that when most people think of fertility problems, they think of the women. However, it has been brought to light that about half of all of the fertility problem cases involve the man as being the problem. This is where the male fertility test comes in. When a couple is starting to notice that they are having a problem conceiving, the best course of action is for both of them to take fertility tests. This way, the problem can be found as quickly as possible. And the sooner the problem is found, the sooner it may be corrected.
One thing to know is that there are doctors that will automatically diagnose an infertility problem when a couple is unable to conceive after having unprotected sex for at least 12 months. This may be a rather unfair diagnosis though, as many couples that have been diagnosed "infertile" are able to conceive later on in the second year or maybe even later. so much for the diagnosis of being infertile.
If you are concerned that there may indeed be a problem and you are looking into a male fertility test, you might want to be prepared with the knowledge of what to expect. First, the doctor is going to want to know your full medical history, as well as your reproductive history. What medical problems have you had? Have you ever reproduced? Have you had any surgeries? Are you currently taking any medications on a regular basis? These are just some of the questions that you will be asked.
Next, you are going to be asked a series of questions regarding your lifestyle. Such questions might include things on smoking, drug usage and exercise. Then it will be time for the physical examination. When that is all said and done, your doctor will then probably want to have a talk with you about any sexual transmitted diseases you may have had in the past or any problems in general you have had with sex.
And then last but not least, your doctor, as a part of the male fertility test is gong to ask that you provide him or her with a semen sample. They will usually want you to give the sample then and there in order to make sure that the analysis is able to take place as quickly as possible. With this test, your doctor will be able to determine the count of sperm, along with their movement and their shape.
With all of this information acquired in the male fertility test, your doctor will be able to discuss the situation in great detail with you, including what steps can be taken, if anything needs done at all.
